IEV Corporation - Company History
Celebrating our 14th year of excellent service to our clients. Below is an overview of the IEV legacy.
1996 - Corporation formed in Texas. The first President of the corporation, Maxine Shannon, takes charge of positioning the company as a premier advertising and website design firm in Houston, Texas. Recognized as one of the first marketing companies in Houston to offer "Internet design" services.
1997 - Opens new office in Uptown/Galleria area of Houston. Lands new client Houston News Today a competitor of the Houston Chronicle newspaper. Houston News Today is the first online newspaper in Houston. Houston News Today also launches the first news-based Internet radio. Company develops ground-breaking Internet radio technology and implementation.
1998 - Provides technology behind a live Internet video feed of President Clinton's visit to Houston. Company is the only Internet news source filming the event. Company enjoys a surge in demand for website design and Internet marketing services.
1999 - During Dot-Com boom, lands several marketing clients in oil & gas, commercial real estate and start-up Internet-based businesses. Company develops and is first to incorporate video and audio technology into website advertising.
2000 - Company adds online hosting services to its complete line of online marketing solutions. Touted as one of the first online hosting companies in Houston.
2001 - Company celebrates its 5th year in business. Company continues to grow as a progressive website technology and Internet marketing firm with clients in Texas and around the USA.
2002 - Launches strategic business consulting division called "Insight Energy Ventures" will be rebranded as IE Ventures Division. Ryan Sumstad joins as new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sumstad brings leadership, organizational management skills and business development experience learned at West Point, as an Army Officer and as an advisor to Palo Alto venture capital firms.
2003 - Company has 100th client. Begins selling turnkey packaged solutions for Internet radio stations "Live Web Audio". Company launches its 20th start-up company by providing business planning and strategic consulting services.
2004 - Charles Bunker, CPA joins company as new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bunker brings with him over three decades of public accounting and commercial real estate experience. Company adds financial consulting services offering.
2005 - Company has 300th client. Company expands its technology services offering by launching the IEV TECH division. Company is rebranded as a "Venture Services" firm focuses on helping owners focus on their core business by providing a complete array of expert consulting in the areas of marketing, technology and business planning. Company revenues more than doubled in under 12 months.
2006 - Company celebrates 10 years of operations. Many clients have been loyal for over 8 years. Company launches new services designed to facilitate the financing of growing businesses in real estate and energy industries. Company also starts IEV REAL ESTATE as the commercial real estate division focused on office leasing services and property management services. Company's technology division IEV TECH sets up entire technology platform including: accounting, logistics and communications for a billion dollar international offshore drilling company with offices in Norway, Texas, Singapore, Turkey and Austrailia. During several phases of the project, the IEV team beat bids from Schlumberger because of the ability to rapidly meet the client's evolving technical requirements. The solution saved the client over $1 Million in annual IT expenditures.
2007 - Company rebrands its marketing & advertising division as IEV MEDIA and launches new website to showcase all of the services divisions. Company also launches online BLOG at www.ievblog.com to foster communication with existing and future clients. Company publishes a series of articles in a state business-to-business news publication.
2008 - Company reorganizes its Ventures Services Divisions to streamline company operations and to maximize cross-sales opportunities. Company launches new website to highlight the main service offerings: IT Services, Marketing Services and Real Estate Services. Company relocates its offices to new high-rise builing in The Woodlands financial district in The Woodlands, Texas. Company's technology division IEV TECH helps clients impacted by Hurricane Ike. Staff IEV's Galveston office helps rescue a group stranded in an appartment building near the "strand" on Galveston Island.
2009 - IEV continued to focus on its primary service offerings: IT Services, Marketing Services and Real Estate Services.
