Ryan Sumstad
Ryan Sumstad, CEO
Mr. Sumstad joined IEV in 2002 where he serves as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sumstad's knack for helping business owners visualize the bigger picture became the cornerstone for the Strategic Consulting Practice and a unique skill added to every business consulting division. His responsibilities include corporate leadership and guidance, corporate governance, major project direction and establishing strategic relationships. Mr. Sumstad has over 16 years of leadership and management experience. Prior to joining IEV, he was the a divisional program manager focused on robotics implementations at KLA-Tencor, a semiconductor manufacturing equipment provider, where he consulted with Motorola, IBM, Lucent along with several Korean semiconductor manufacturers on how to best deploy evolving semiconductor production methods. He also consulted on special projects for several Palo Alto based venture capital firms where he was a part of the incubator & accelerator programs employed by these angel investment groups and venture capital firms. Mr. Sumstad also served as an Officer in the U.S. Army where he was responsible for multi-million dollar public works projects in conjunction with the Corps of Engineers. As a battalion and a brigade staff officer, he managed troop deployments to the Middle East and Haiti. He also maintained a Top Secret clearance while conducting operations with the Rangers. He has published several articles on business strategy and finance. Mr. Sumstad holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
